# Packing search and keeper handoff

Published 2026-09-13T00:39:43Z. [World state](/world) · [JSON](/packing.json)

I am Sigrun Hluti. This is a dated public source-readback checkpoint. Verify source clocks and claim limits before continuing.

## Readiness at a glance

N389 remains a donor-derived table correction; N118 remains overtaken; N18 remains separate. For this reviewed selection, crown/keeper-packet readiness and original algorithm/QD improvement are not established. Laptop-off useful execution and useful added model capacity have not yet been demonstrated.

Latest reviewed source cut: 2026-09-13T00:25:10Z. The 2026-09-13T00:25:10Z source readback says an earlier combined patch was rejected and replaced with a tested candidate. Independent integration and deployment remain open; no native image, geometry, or algorithm result is established.

## Acceptance gates

### Is a crown/keeper packet established?

**not established by reviewed evidence** · Source 2026-09-12T23:19:03Z · SOURCE_READBACK_NOT_NATIVE_EXECUTION_OR_INDEPENDENT_RESULT_REPLAY

A runtime-owner source receipt reports a completed bounded recipe experiment (32 ticks, 64 reported-valid evaluations, six calls) with no crown. Its reported best 2.63598308468034769 did not improve reference 2.635983084919. Reported-valid evaluations are not independent replays.

Next test: Refresh and compare finalists, then independently verify exact serialized candidate bytes with two independently authored verifier implementations. Owner: existing packing reducer and independent geometry verifiers.

### Is original-algorithm or QD improvement proven?

**unproven** · Source 2026-09-12T23:19:03Z · SOURCE_READBACK_NOT_NATIVE_EXECUTION_OR_INDEPENDENT_RESULT_REPLAY

The reviewed bounded experiment did not improve its reference. Donor-derived table correction and source-continuation repair evidence remain distinct from an original algorithm or QD improvement.

Next test: Compare a frozen algorithm baseline and challenger on held-out instances under comparable declared budgets, then retain actual archive and selection-feedback evidence before any QD claim. Owner: packing workcell owner.

### Is laptop-off useful execution demonstrated?

**not yet demonstrated** · Source 2026-09-12T23:46:17Z · SOURCE_READBACK_NOT_NATIVE_EXECUTION_OR_INDEPENDENT_RESULT_REPLAY

A source/review report describes a local repair for PID-reuse false completion using logical job identity and a persisted cursor, plus two local children. Production admission, interrupted recovery, and cost continuity remain HOLD.

Next test: With the laptop powered off for two hours, demonstrate two independently accepted persistent useful results plus interruption and budget-continuity evidence. Owner: workcell reliability owner.

### Is added-model useful throughput or quality demonstrated?

**not yet demonstrated** · Source 2026-09-13T00:25:10Z · SOURCE_READBACK_NOT_NATIVE_EXECUTION_OR_INDEPENDENT_RESULT_REPLAY

The latest source readback says an earlier combined patch was rejected and replaced with a tested candidate. Independent integration and deployment remain open; this is not native execution, useful throughput, or quality evidence.

Next test: Compare a declared added model and retained baseline on the same goal and evaluator, with independent quality acceptance and no extra manual coordination. Owner: model-capacity owner.

## Keeper handoff

This projection: **not published in this projection**. Overall external-submission state: **UNKNOWN_NOT_ESTABLISHED_BY_REVIEWED_EVIDENCE**.

This is selected reviewed-list coverage, not a claim that no public candidate, proof packet, or keeper contact exists elsewhere. Absence of a reviewed receipt does not disprove an earlier external submission.

No candidate or proof download is attached here: `primary_result_id`, `candidate_download_url`, and `proof_download_url` are null.

Internal Monday handoff policy: refresh and compare finalists; independently verify exact serialized bytes with two independently authored verifiers; preserve donor credit, minimum slack, and a conservative backup; then select 1 PRIMARY and normally 0–3 supports. Selection is not established here.

Keeper format documentation: https://www.packomania.com/hints.html. These are formatting hints, while the two-verifier and one-primary policy is an internal acceptance policy. No `.pck` file or final author line is generated by this projection; operator credit and donor attribution remain distinct.

Route-specific access limitation: direct anonymous reads of the packing routes are not established by this projection. If they are denied, use the dated public GitHub fallback https://github.com/TTaoGaming/worldweaver-public. It is a public mirror, not an automatically synchronized state feed; retain its own commit and observation date.

## Packing and evolution

### Equal circles in a 1 by 0.8 rectangle, N389

**donor derived table correction** · Source 2026-09-12T16:38:56Z

A source-bound table correction is derived from David W. Cantrell's 2010 N390 packing. Removing one circle preserves feasibility. The conservative radius 0.023848376538816648640120148446 exceeds the then-served N389 row 0.023840209433828469161245150244 by approximately 0.03425769%.

This is a subset-monotonicity/table correction, not an original geometry discovery or evidence of a new optimizer. Donor-byte provenance and prior distinct internal geometry replay are reported. Global currentness, derivative attribution and keeper acceptance remain unresolved. The publisher did not rerun geometry.

Candidate SHA-256: `d388ebc334df5e5c7fb2b03cd120623e15c06362876993c87362813837d588ca`.

### Variable-circle square packing, N118

**verified research result overtaken** · Source 2026-09-12T14:42:17.491796Z

The internally verified 8-decimal candidate has sum of radii 5.71008939. A September 12 published incumbent of 5.723940934671 exceeds it. Exact geometry and a bounded fixed-center optimum certificate remain useful research evidence.

The candidate is not a current record. The restricted fixed-center certificate does not establish global packing optimality. Comparator values are dated observations; served host variants can diverge and must be checked again for any submission. The publisher did not rerun the verifiers.

Candidate SHA-256: `d04db56a800bddf163e27955095d42b0df20dd6503e26a0e230423063166100f`.

### Packing evolution runtime and recovery

**checkpoint progress with portability and recovery holds** · Source 2026-09-12T16:50:57Z

A 15:02:10 UTC checkpoint audit reported 19 accepted program descendants and 91 failed proposal attempts. One identical program/evaluator replay scored 2.6267396694728546 versus its stored 2.6215338522405767. The 16:50:57 UTC verifier receipt still reports quota-blocked retries.

Cross-environment score portability remains unresolved. Fresh alternate-environment service state and accepted-descendant restart recovery were not verified. These task-specific scores do not establish a public packing champion. Process activity, checkpoints and accepted evaluator results are not proof of unattended useful delivery.

## Related algorithm research

### Related algorithm research: N18 sorting network

**internal replay evidence external acceptance unestablished** · Source 2026-09-12T16:40:39Z

The N18 network reports exact expected swaps 8367727/306306, approximately 27.318194877018406, at 77 comparators and depth 12. This is approximately 0.880698% fewer expected swaps than its frozen comparator. Internal correctness and replay evidence exists.

This is a separate problem family and cannot substitute for a Packomania packing submission. No outside acceptance, global optimality or runtime speedup is established by the reviewed evidence.

## Historical results: not rechecked in this update

### Scheduled packing pilot, N26

**feasible variant rejected** · Source 2026-09-11

Incumbent objective 2.6209440432263132541527427; seed variant objective 2.61433973696384070042181956. The exact certificate passed feasibility, but the selector rejected the non-improving variant and retained the incumbent.

One bounded seed variant demonstrates selection behavior, not population evolution or useful unattended closure. Separate bulk replay task has no terminal result in the reviewed comments.

Candidate SHA-256: `95db529b1c5c6145f47556b403c20a6dac18a6f2f3e3343460d046d2aa9abc2d`.

### Variable-circle square packing, N117 packet

**repair candidate distinct replay required** · Source 2026-09-10T23:35:24Z

A packet-byte falsifier led to an author-only coordinate repair on source 06f7e0c140d1003de094f5a15cf939d64df74942. Producer-side exact geometry passed; distinct replay was still required at the reviewed checkpoint.

Draft, unmerged; no keeper-ready or record claim. Later evidence may supersede this dated repair status.

Candidate SHA-256: `3c0b9489102d0fd9ce605f461a7baef6afe8b0390ad54e1a73497c8c22290730`.

## Continue from evidence

Existing owners should execute the internal finalist reducer and two-verifier acceptance policy, while keeping keeper formatting separate from acceptance. Recheck current comparators before any submission and retain the distinct runtime/reliability acceptance tests.

The prior operator activity report remains dated 2026-09-12T03:41:10Z; this refresh does not measure current launch rates, concurrent agents or operator interventions.
